Ade and Grace’s WOG for June

Not all sermons are preached from pulpits.

Some live in the quiet grace of a mother making breakfast.

Some echo in the lyrics of a worship song written in between night shifts.

Some are stitched into the back of a faith-inspired T-shirt, or woven through Instagram captions that speak louder than hashtags.

This is a celebration of women whose lives don’t just speak of God - they show Him. In their work. In their witness. In their joy. In their ordinary Tuesdays.

In a world eager to measure impact by numbers and noise, these five women point us to a deeper kind of influence - the kind that’s anchored in purpose and laced with grace.

This is not a list. This is a thank you.

To women who carry God in their walk, their words, and their work.

And to God who meets us through them.

Jacqulyne Horbrook (@jackietheeducator)

When God handed out calling cards, Jackie printed hers with bold fonts and RSVP instructions. As the founder of Black Christian Influencers (BCI), she doesn’t just gather people - she builds rooms where faith and influence shake hands. Her BCI Conference & Award show has grown into a space for Christian creatives and entrepreneurs. She also hosts the BCI Live podcast where purpose meets practice.

Between planning prayer brunches, mentoring new voices, and schooling people on spirit-led branding, Jackie’s life says: “Faith and function are not opposites.” She isn’t just an educator by degree - she’s a divine curator of excellence.

Side Note: Her new book is available for pre-order: “How to be a Christian Influencer.”

Temilade Salami (@theglobaltemi)

When Temi’s not snagging a master’s degree, meeting world leaders or winning sustainability awards (we see you, COP Climate Prize), she’s designing T-shirts that say God is intentional. Her brand, Lights & Cottons, is a faith-meets-lifestyle haven - selling everything from Scripture-inspired apparel to affirming mugs.

But don’t box her in. She also leads The Grow Tribe, a warm, rooted community where women talk about faith, growth, and God without filters. She’s proof that spiritual depth doesn’t cancel out aesthetic or advocacy. With Temi, it’s all light. All heart. And all God.

Side Note: She just dropped a fresh book for twenty-somethings chasing purpose.

Lizzy O (@thelizzyo)

Fashionista, foodie and fierce mom who just happens to rock a wheelchair with more style than most of us. After a life-changing spinal injury, Lizzy turned obstacles into opportunities - to share recipes, runway tips and family adventures, all grounded in an unshakeable faith.

Some people will tell you, “God’s got you.” Lizzy doesn’t have to. She lives it. Lizzy chose not just to survive, but to radiate. Her life is joy incarnate from wheelchair fashion shows, mom content, and authentic vlogs that don’t sugarcoat suffering but still shout grace.

She doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. Her radiance is a sermon. She’s a reminder that even in the valley, God throws parties.

Thank you Lizzy!

Tomi Favored (@tomifavored)

Nurse by training, gospel minister by calling, and songwriter by inspiration.

Pastor Tomi isn’t just a singer who loves Jesus - she’s a minister who carries weight. With over 7 albums and 100+ original songs, including her recent single “Jesus Na You,” she’s more than background music to your quiet time. She’s a fire-starter. A revival voice.

Offstage, she’s a nurse - a caregiver in every sense. And still, she makes time for B.O.W. (Bringing Our Worship), her live prayer-worship sessions that feel like a recharge for both body and soul. Her Bible Studies and sermons are very powerful, she’s a great teacher.

Kathlyn Celeste (@kathlynceleste

The Homemaker. The Heart Warmer. The Ordinary-Thing Evangelist.

In a world obsessed with titles and timelines, Kathlyn reminds us that building a beautiful home is a holy thing. Whether she’s styling spaces, sharing gentle reflections, or posting playful reels with her husband and kids, she’s proof that God’s presence lives in throw pillows and table settings too.

She treats the act of homemaking like ministry - and it is. With every tidy corner and quiet moment, she reminds us that love, peace, and joy start from the home. You don’t have to run a company to make Kingdom impact. Sometimes, setting the dinner table is enough.

We are not celebrating perfection here. We are celebrating presence.

Women whose lives remind us that walking with God can look like song lyrics, fashion shoots, green activism, or Friday night Bible journaling.

So when people ask what following Jesus looks like in 2025?

We point to them - and say, “Something like this.”

Because why not?
